If you are dealing with a sewage problem, such as if you are having a backup of sewage in your home, you might be hoping that you can fix the problem yourself. After all, you probably want to resolve the issue as fast as possible, and you may want to save money over hiring a professional. If you are going to try to deal with your sewage problem yourself, of course, you are going to need the right equipment. These are three things that you may need.

1. Plunger

The first thing that you are probably going to need to deal with your sewage problem is a good, high-quality plungers. Plungers are relatively cheap and simple, but they can work for many clogs. If you are dealing with a clogged sink, toilet or shower, for example, you may be able to use a simple plunger to get rid of the clog and to get the water flowing as it is supposed to again. It's always a good idea to keep a plunger in each bathroom just in case you need one.

2. Plumbing Auger

Even though plungers can be handy for a lot of clogs, they don't work for everything. For more serious clogs, you might need to bring out better equipment. This is where a plumbing auger can come in handy. A plumbing snake or plumbing auger can be used to get rid of clogs and open up drains that are more seriously clogged than what can be handled by a plunger. You can purchase one of these, which can be a handy piece of equipment to keep on hand for when you're dealing with sewage problems. However, they can be a bit costly, so you may find that you are better off just renting one when you need one, particularly if you don't find yourself dealing with plumbing issues very often.

3. Pipe Camera

For many people, using a plumber or auger to get rid of a major clog is a good way to get the sewage system back working as it's supposed to. If this just isn't working for you, however, there might be other problems that you aren't aware of. You could be dealing with damaged pipes or another issue rather than just a clog. Luckily, it's possible to take a closer look so that you can evaluate the situation. A sewer pipe camera is a device that you can use to send a camera through your pipes to look for issues. Then, once you find the problem, you can determine what to do next. This is another piece of equipment that you may want to consider renting rather than buying.
